Native Bee Workshop - Boorowa

Boorowa Community Landcare Group and local Gardening clubs have organised Megan Halcroft from Bees Business to present an informative day to encourage people to monitor and manage their own properties for native bees.

The agenda for the day will involve a face to face workshop covering pollinators, honey bees and economic importance. The day will have a practical component with a garden walk, sweep netting and looking at specimens. We will also be covering ways to support the pollinators by increasing floral resources and providing or conserving habitat.

BCLG is working with local groups and schools to make artificial habitats such as Bee Hotels in rural areas to encourage biodiversity in our environment.
