Hothouse Workshop for Landcare Groups

Hothouse workshopLandcare NSW, in conjunction with Murrumbidgee Landcare Inc., is hosting a one-day workshop for Landcare staff, volunteers and committee members.  The workshop is designed to provide participants with vital information about grant writing, social media, managing volunteers, bookkeeping and financial management, and the NSW Landcare Gateway.

Venue: Conference Room, Agricultural Institute, Pine Gully Road, Wagga Wagga.

The workshop is limited to the first twenty applicants.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Workshop topics include:

Grant writing - tips on finding, writing and managing grants.

  • Identifying opportunities
  • thinking outside the box to find a grant
  • valuing your contribution

Social media - the 'how to'; policy areas (including privacy); is it worth the while? generating followers and sustaining interest.

Managing volunteers - engaging & retaining volunteers. Safety aspects fo volunteer management

NSW Landcare Gateway - creating a free web presence to share your organisation's activities. How to get started and keep your  profile fresh.

Bookeeping & financial management - software options, risk management for your organisation's finances, record keeping - what to keep and for how long?
