Congratulations to Ladysmith Public School who have been successful in their application for a grant through the NSW Environmental Trust's Eco Schools program.

Their project:

Title: Do not fear the animal savers are here!

Description: What lives in our local environment? How do we develop a healthy ecosystem in our back yard? Where can the local critters go when they need shelter, food and protection? By finding answers, students will have a better understanding of our local environment. By working as a community to improve the habitats of the native animals and birds, their populations will increase. By establishing a deeper understanding of how the endemic flora works hand in hand with the native fauna, students will develop an understanding of the interconnectedness. This project will provide an ongoing learning area for future students.
