11.2.1.Weed infestations

The effects of poor weed management can include a loss of native species and their habitats, reduced land productivity, animal health issues, soil degradation and increasing control costs as weeds spread.
The distribution and density of weeds in the Mid-Murrumbidgee Catchment indicates an upward trend for both the spread of well-established weeds and the emergence of new problems.
