Riverina Highlands Landcare Nursery
The Riverina Highlands Landcare Nursery was opened almost 15 years ago, to provide locally grown native plants for Landcare and community projects, and for sale to the general public.
The Nursery is located on Gocup Road, Tumut. It is generally open Mondays to Saturdays, between 8.00 am and 12.00 pm.
Over 40,000 plants are grown each year, including a range of trees, shrubs, groundcovers, sedges and climbers. The Nursery specialises in growing native plants hardened off to suit the region's local climatic conditions.
The Nursery is run by a team of dedicated volunteers, and managed by the Landcare Nursery Coordinator. The premises are provided by the Tumut Shire Council.
Plants grown by the Nursery are available for local projects, or for purchase by the public. If you would like a large order, please be sure to get your order to the Nursery by February for Spring plantings, or October for Autumn plantings. For details of species available, see the Nursery Order Form (available to download, below) or contact the Nursery. The Nursery also has an ongoing supply of plants available for purchase.
