Ariah Park and District Field Day

The Ariah Park and district field day is a fantastic opportunity to have a look at a variety of properties in the region, with plenty of opportunities to talk to other landholders, and see what others are up to!

The theme for this years event is "To spread or not to spread: Making informed decisions about available soil moisture".

 

Program

The program for the day is:

8.30 am      Registration – Ariah Park footy club rooms

9.00 am      Review of the soil moisture probes at four locations: Griffins, Pursehouses, Darts & Buerckners

10.00 am    Morning Tea

10.30 am    Depart in buses for Paul Griffins – review cores collected from the four probe sites and soil pit with Mark Glover CSIRO

12.15 pm    Lunch

1.00 pm      Depart for Warrakirri’s Cowabbie - tillage raddish, vetch, brown manuring, soil pit and how precision ag has been used

2.30 pm     Depart for Ariah Park

3.15 pm      Close and refreshments

 

Payment

The cost for the day is $20 per person.

Mirrool Creek Grower Group annual membership is $10 per family.
