Saving our Swift Parrots and threatened woodland species - Tarcutta

The “Saving Our Swift Parrots and Threatened Woodland Species” is a 10 year project aiming to improve the long term viability of the nationally endangered Swift Parrot population in NSW.

Please join us to learn more about this exciting local project and discover how you can help.

Speakers will include:

  • Leanna Moerkerken, Riverina Local Land Services: Saving Our Swift Parrots and Threatened Woodland Species project overview
  • Deb Saunders, Australian National University: Swift Parrots and woodland birds of the Riverina
  • Nicki Taws, Greening Australia: Birds in revegetated areas
  • Bush Heritage representative: Private land conservation

Presentations will be followed by a field visit to the Mates Gully Travelling Stock Reserve.

Time:  10.00am to 3.00pm (Free morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea provided)

What to bring:  Hat, sturdy footwear, binoculars
