Burrinjuck Landcare Group to be re-established

A public meeting was held at the Bowning Hotel with the aim to re-establish the Burrinjuck Landcare Group, incorporating the districts of Bookham and Bowning. Fourteen interested people attended, including Gus Sharp, Chairman of the Yass Area Network and Alan Cole Murrumbidgee Landcare Inc. Support Officer. By a show of hands the meeting decided to proceed with re-forming the Burrinjuck Landcare Group and a Start Up committee was nominated. A survey conducted during the meeting indicated that the principal area of interest of the members is re-vegetation of rural land.
