The city of Wagga Wagga and its surroundings are blessed with outstanding natural and cultural assets. This includes the famous Murrumbidgee River which forms a distinct river corridor through our city and offers a natural hub for recreational activity as well as our flora and fauna.
 
Wagga Wagga Urban Landcare seeks to play a role in the preservation and enhancement of the region’s natural assets. The Group’s efforts are focussed in four key areas: education, on-ground action, social enrichment and advocacy.
 
Wagga Wagga Urban Landcare is an active group that undertakes monthly events and activities throughout the year. You can view our complete 2018 Calendar of Events here. Activities coming up  in 2018 include:
  • Tree planting day at Camp Kurrajong (Sun 22 April)
  • Tree planting days at Pound Flat Travelling Stock Reserve (Sun 27 May and Sun 24 June)
  • National Tree Day (Sun 29 July)
  • Woody weed removal working bee (Sun 26 August)
  • Wildflower walk at Galore Hill (Sun 30 September)
  • Aussie Backyard Bird Count (Sun 28 October)
  • Christmas BBQ and AGM at Wagga Beach (Sun 25 November)
